CROWN POINT — The Lake County Board of Commissioners on Wednesday donated two county-owned properties to a not-for-profit group seeking to provide affordable housing in Gary. The commissioners voted 2-0, with Fran DuPey abstaining, to transfer the properties at 2141 and 2149 Jefferson St. to CRWorks Inc., for its proposed Comfort Villas project.
